Hey guys!
So this weeks topic is all about campaigns and how to monitor them specifically. The world is changing everyday and its hard to keep track of what is in and what is out. A good way of getting peoples attentions would be to focus on something that is relevant today. One way to get your cause out there would be to campaign. Once you have something in mind the test is all about results and how your audience is going to react. I am going to go into briefly about a few ways your able to monitor your results.
One important way of monitoring a campaign is to set time frames. You really get to see the progress and the activity of your campaign this way. Say for instance you are checking on the status on something everyday and you don't see a huge difference. However if you were to check in once a week then you see the activity and progress in a larger way. You are able to change the time frame by going into adwords and clicking on the date range menu. There are many time frames you can set as well as your own preference by selecting custom but the reason why there is so many is because you are trying to look at trends and patterns. Looking at previous months results is a good way of tracking patterns.
Another important way of monitoring a campaign is checking the clicks and the click through rate otherwise known as CTR. The CTR is an indicator of how well your ads/keywords are performing. It is the number of clicks that your ad receives divided by the number of times your ad is shown. So if you were to get 5 clicks and 100 impressions then your CTR would be 5%. A high click through rate is a good indication that the performance of your ad is helpful.

Week 3: Creating An Ad
Hey guys,
So you may have wanted to create an ad and were unsure how to even start. You can create ads on Google however there are a few things to consider before jumping in. The first thing to consider is the name for the ad group. Feel free to click on the learn more link to get more of a clarification. Now we are going to rewind back to the planning stage and from there you will enter the following information:
1. Final URL
2. Headline 1
3. Headline 2
4. Description
After this step you are going to change keywords so pretty much you need to think carefully about your buyer because your buyer is the most important person. Your keywords need to be direct because you want your buyer to put the connection between your product and your keywords.
However, if you are stumped you are also able to access the adwords "suggesting keywords" which is always a great idea because it may open your mind to different possibilities. When you are entering the final URL Google will scan for suggestions then click on Estimate Search Traffic. When it displays the information it says Avg CPC (Average Cost Per Click). If your Ad is appealing to a large amount of people then more people will search keywords than have a connection to your product because the keywords you choose for your product will count on your ad displaying (due to high traffic). When you are done then save your content and you have created your ad.
You can always create a sample for yourself so you can get some practice in so creating ads becomes more natural. I hope this help so start creating :)
