Hey guys,
This semester we are starting off with the discussion of Google AdWords. AdWords is an advertising service provided by google for businesses wanting to display ads on google and its advertising network. The program is said to enable businesses to set a budget for advertising and only pay when people click the ads. The service is going to be focused largely on keywords. The keyword will then trigger your ad to appear. Since advertisers need to pay for this service this is how Google is making their money. Depending on the type of business you have AdWords may or may not benefit your business.
Since we all just ask google a specific question ad words work perfectly because if your keyword works your ad will pop up. An example that I saw online was someone asking "how to get rid of acne" then the first to pop up was an advertising. The first search was named "dealing with acne"with an ad underneath followed by a URL and description. The only thing that would have sounded better would be writing it as a ending result. The example they gave was "Kill Acne Once and For All". Your reader is more likely to click on one that has their ending goal.
Another example that was used was when someone googled "Sell Your Car". The first adword that popped up was, "We Buy Your Car 2 Hours"-We Buy Cars.com with an ad description. It says we buy cars which is the ending goal. Your main goal is to give the reader what they want and choosing the right words to display is important because it could divert your reader if you are too vague.
AdWords are everywhere and depending on your business this way may or may not work for you but the overall goal is to give your readers what they want and that is the answer.
